THE ACTIVE

In FR~HAUT Cosmetics we don't want to ignore the numerous benefits of the Retinol and we launch The Active, a range full of vitamin A in all its forms.

The properties of The Active range can be sumarised as follows:

- It stimulates the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid, thus “filling” the skin and its structure, and fighting against flaccidity and wrinkles.
- It promotes regeneration creating some peeling effect which helps to get rid of the upper skin layers in an easy way and they are changed by new ones.
- It is a great antioxidant ingredient that prevents the formation of free radicals.
- It participates in the production of melanin and regulates it.
- It is very useful to regulate the sebaceous gland; in fact, retinol was first used as a successful treatment against acne.

This is the reason why FR~HAUT Cosmetics decided to call this range The Active, because it doesn’t exist any active ingredient as powerful as vitamin A.

MORE INFO

In The Active range we have combined retinol and other last generation active substances to develop a global skincare range that treats every problem of mature skins.

In other words, The Active is the skin fitness coach to maintain it in a good shape, unchangeable in spite of the passing of time.

Main Active Substances:

1. Vitamin A:
Vitamin A in THE ACTIVE is presented in all its forms and it is encapsulated in smart nano-capsules (drones). These nano-capsules are formed by peptides specifically developed to achieve a 100% affinity between them and the receptor cells (fibroblasts, melanocytes...). Therefore, when inserted into the skin, they go directly to these receptor cells and do not get lost, being other absorbed (that is why they are called “drones”). This way of applying vitamin A to the skin increases skins tolerance to this active ingredient.

On the other hand, as vitamin A is a derivative from B-carotenes, it has a direct impact on pigmentation, so it is a perfect partner to control melanocyte in blemished skins or those with sun spots.

2. MatrixylTM 3000:

A patent that won the 2015 Cosmetic Innovation Award for being the first anti-ageing ingredient based on the technology of matrikines peptides, which reduce the cell activity stimulating the genes responsible for that.

The extracellular matrix (a net to secure and support the skin cells) is composed of a mixture of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. In young skins, the collagen fibres are linked together by elastin in a perfect net. The holes of this net are filled with hyaluronic acid, which hydrates it and gives volume and elasticity.

As the skin gets older, the fibres production is reduced and the existing ones loss their structure (free radicals, oxidation...). In turn, this net losses the water retention capacity, and the skin losses its elasticity and turgidity. The detachment of this net stretches the epidermis. The result: the skin becomes wrinkled, thin, dry and with flaccidity. Nutrients cannot reach the hypodermis and the cell metabolism is unstable.

3. Reforcyl®:

A trademark of Rhan Laboratories.

It is based on cistus incanus (rockrose) and gynostemma pentaphyllum (jiaogulan).

Its function is to regulate and regenerate the skin barrier in mature skins.

It activates keratinocytes and the enzymes key in epidermal lipids synthesis. So it improves hydration, firmness, elasticity and softness in specially dry and mature skins.

It is very suitable for the eye contour and neck, as these areas have less sebaceous glands and so they are prone to dehydration.

4. Renovage™:

An active substance developed by Sederma.

It provides anti-ageing effects and protects the skin against oxidative stress and the damaging factors.

It is well known that one of the elements involved in cell ageing is the telomeres shortening (the end of the DNA). Renovage™ is a formulation that helps to maintain these telomeres and combats the stress under the skin.

Renovage™ also improves the quality of the cells communication, balancing their metabolism.

5. Exo-PTM:

Kopara exopolysaccharides, found exclusively in the French Polynesia.

It protects the skin integrity as a shield against external aggressions and pollution, chemicals products, tobacco, heavy metals and other exogenous agents that, persistently, oxidise our skin creating free radicals that damage the structure.

It protects from Blue Ray radiation, emitted by mobile phones, tablets, PCs...

Besides its protective property, it acts as a purifying agent, expelling and breaking the skin toxins down.
Moreover, Exo-PTM avoids irritation produced by pollution and early ageing.

6. Argireline®:

It is an hexapeptide developed through molecular engineering, which works on the biochemistry of the muscular contraction neurotransmitters (botox effect).

For the muscular contraction be produced, the SNARE complex (composed of proteins, syntaxin and SNAP-25) has to produce acetylcholine). When we insert the hexapeptide Argireline®, it substitutes the SNAP-25 which is part of the SNARE complex and thus this complex cannot produce acetylcholine. This way, the muscular contraction is mitigated and the muscle is relaxed, avoiding thus the formation of expression lines and lessening the existing ones.

7. Syn-Ake®:

It is a synthetic peptide that acts superficially and its effects are similar to the snake poison, resulting in a botox effect (Waglerin-1 protein relaxes wrinkles and expression lines immediately thanks to a blockage in neuronal transmission of nicotinic receptor of acetylcoline).

Moreover, this peptide stimulates the collagen production as it is an epidermal growing factor.

Expression wrinkles in areas such as nasogenian, eye contour, forehead, etc., will immediately improve.

8. Gatuline®:

It is a plant from South America used for a long time as painkiller in cases of headache, toothache, etc.

Its main active substance is Spilanthol, which acts as a myorelaxant (muscle relaxant) very quickly. So it is a great active substance with a botox effect. That’s why it is known as the “natural botox”.

On the other hand, scientific research has proven that 0.25% of acmella oleracea can stimulate the collagen production in fibroblasts, helping to reinforce the dermal firmness and turgidity.

It is also very used in cosmetics, as it has great antioxidant and hydrating properties (it can retain water in the skin for hours).

9. Eyeseryl®:

A tetrapeptide that prevents glication.

When the skin gets older, it losses its structure because the fibres strains and little cells form, bigger than usual. These cells fill with liquid because of a poor drainage or poor circulation. The liquid creates glication and the ugly bags of oiliness under the eye.

Eyeseryl® offers a decongestant effect against oedemas originated by a poor lymphatic circulation or the high capillary permeability.

It inhibits collagen glication, elasticity loss and bags formation.

10. Oil from peach kernel:

• On the other hand, it is rich in:

- Vitamin A or retinol: restructures the tissue and prevents the epidermis ageing.

- Vitamin E or tocopherol: antioxidant, it reduces wrinkles and reinforces the skin.

- Biotin: it is the base of the skin formation. Its loss can create some dermatitis problems.

- Ascorbic acid or vitamin C: antioxidant and very necessary in the production of collagen and elastin.

• The oil from peach pit has also calcium, iron, phosphorous and potassium, which maintain the skin elastic, toned and hydrated.
• Although there are lots of allergies to peach, it has been shown that more than the 97% of these allergies are to the peel and pulp of the fruit, , but not the pit (kernel) or seed.
