Main Active Substances:
1. Opuntia ficus-indicam stem extract:
The Mexican cactus extract can catch water from the deep layers of the skin and store it in tissues.
It is a natural source of minerals such as manganese, calcium, iron and potassium, which increase cell regeneration and hydration.
2. Hyaluronic acid of 3 molecular weights:
Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan resulting from the polymerisation of monosaccharides linked to one another forming highly hydrated structures.
Hyaluronic acid is the glycosaminoglycan most abundant in the dermis, and along with glycoproteins, collagen and elastic fibres, it forms the matrix of the dermis and the subdermal connective tissue.
Hyaluronic acid has a great capacity to absorb water and to form high viscosity hydrated polymers. It is in this manner, acting like a sponge, that it provides the skin with volume.
3. Pentavitin® (saccharide isomerate):
A natural moisturising factor, patent of Sederma Laboratories, which acts as a skin hydrating and disinfectant substance.
It is a complex of carbohydrates derived from sugar, founded also in the skin corneal layer.
It has proven special properties of water retention, even in low levels of humidity. This is the main difference with other common hydrating substances.
On the other hand, Pentavitin® can be fixed to the keratin of the corneal layer to smooth it, and it can only be removed from there by the natural exfoliating process, as these are very sensitive skins.
Genetic studies have proven that Pentavitin® stimulates some key genes to improve the barrier function of the skin, and a variety of in vivo tests confirms its capacity to reinforce the skin barrier and maintain a deep hydration for 72 hours.
4. Moringa pterygosperma seed extract:
Moringa is a tree with a 5 to10 m trunk, generally thin and irregular, with yellow aromatic flowers, from the North of India. It is also known as the “Tree of Life”, and we can take the most of the whole tree, from the leaves to the seeds.
Its extract is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic, so it is perfect for irritated or sensitive skins.
It has 46 different antioxidants and is a great source of vitamins E and A: that is why it is so antioxidant, helping to combat free radicals. It is so a great partner to fight pollution.
5. Soliberine®:
Phyto-bio-active Soliberine® from Greentech Biotechnologies Laboratories, has a great amount of fenilpropanoids, such as verbascoside and echinacoside, which act as a natural photoprotector, as they protect the skin against the damages caused by UVA & UVB radiation, infra-red and blue light, very present in our daily routines. Many studies show high cellular oxidation levels when the skin is exposed to this kind of light.
It also stimulates the synthesis of elastin, preventing the damage in the extracellular matrix and regenerating the skin.
6. Fucus vesiculosus extract:
Seaweed from the phaeophyta family that grows in cold water.
Thanks to its content of polysaccharides, which can retain great amounts of water, fucus extract can hydrate, soften and protect in a good manner.
Algae have also a great purifying effect, very useful in skins with acne or impurities.
7. EvermatTM:
Evermat™ from Sederma Laboratories, is an active substance that reduces the size of pores, mattifies and refines the skin.
The bark of its tail, very used in the traditional medicine, has shown to be an effective antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory substance.
The oleic acid is a terpenic acid obtained from the olive tree, with soothing and regenerating properties.
8. Leucidal® liquid:
Leucidal® liquid by Active Micro Technologies Laboratories LLC is an antimicrobial peptide sourced from the fermentation of the bacteria of the lactic acid (leuconostoc kimchii) together with the fermentation of radish root.
It is also a great hydrating active substance.
9. SpecPed®:
A peptide that acts on the dermis matrikines promoting the synthesis in the extracellular matrix of glycosaminoglycans and collagen to strengthen it.
It promotes fibronectin production. This way, the skin will recover its youthful firmness, wrinkles will be smoother and the skin will look firmer.
10. Vitamin C:
Main functions of vitamin C:
• Neutralize free radicals: they cause skin oxidative stress and produce its early ageing (photo-ageing).
• It is a key factor in collagen production in skin cells, and it helps maintain skin structure and delay the signs of ageing.
• It is an epidermal healer:
- Anti-inflammatory effect.
- Regulates the melanin production, specially on dark spots, and also unifies skin tone.
- Gives luminosity.
